Dr.
Dale A. Meyer succeeded Dr. Oswald Hoffmann as Lutheran Hour speaker
on January 1, 1989. He was also the host of Lutheran Hour Ministries'
weekly television talk show, "On Main Street."
Meyer graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, in 1973. He
holds both a master's degree and doctorate from Washington University,
St. Louis. From 1984 to 1988, he was senior pastor of Holy Cross
Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Illinois. There he hosted a Bible
class which was broadcast over KFUO-AM radio station in St. Louis.
Before going to Holy Cross, Meyer taught homiletics and New Testament
at Concordia Seminary.
